Happy 2022 from Move for Health! I am looking forward to teaching core stability and functional training virtual classes again this year. It’s hard to believe that Move for Health is starting its ninth year of group classes!

Due to the Pandemic, we’re continuing to provide virtual classes via Zoom.  Members are having a great experience with a strong social connection with individualized instruction concurrently.  Please join us – from the comfort of your home!

A key goal of our core stability classes is to improve your body awareness – including patterns of breathing, stress management, posture, movement and balance. Learning to move well and pain-free while developing strength, endurance and improved habits for movement.

You’ll learn movement habits and postures that are best for your body – with practical application to your daily lives.  This includes standing, walking, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, sitting and even for achieving better sleep.

As a Physical Therapist, I feel it’s important to learn how to move well, while at the same time understanding why healthy movement and function are essential and empowering to your personal health.

Move For Health group classes incorporate evidence-based research to help you prevent falls, improve your strength, decrease your pain and improve your longevity and your wellness.

We’ll include information about anatomy and physiology – your muscular and nervous systems as well as your cardiovascular and pulmonary function.  You’ll learn how all of these elements combine to create healthy human movement – and how you can improve your posture, movement and balance to optimize your health.

On behalf of our Move For Health classes, I welcome your feedback and questions. I’m available to talk and correspond with you during and aside from our group classes. I look forward to working closely with you and your physician to best support your improved health & wellness.

Here’s to a happy and promising 2022, with Move For Health group classes supporting you to move well and without pain.

I’ll be providing regular blogs on our MoveForHealth.com website.  You’ll also find our class schedule (Thursdays 10:30-11:30 AM and 7:30-8:30 PM, and on Fridays 9-10 AM by appointment).

As always, I really appreciate your feedback and support of our Move For Health message!  Yours in Health,

Darcy
