Happy 2025 from Move for Health! I am looking forward to teaching core stability and functional training virtual classes again this year. It’s hard to believe that Move for Health is starting its 11th year of group classes!

Since the Pandemic, we’re continuing to provide virtual classes via Zoom.  Members are having a great experience with a strong social connection with individualized instruction concurrently.  Please join us – from the comfort of your home!

A key goal of our core stability classes is to improve your body awareness – including patterns of breathing, stress management, posture, movement and balance. Learning to move well and pain-free while developing strength, endurance and improved habits for movement.

You’ll learn movement habits and postures that are best for your body – with practical application to your daily lives.  This includes standing, walking, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, sitting and even for achieving better sleep.

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I know how important it is to learn to move well.  I have spent the majority of my career helping patients who are limited by pain and poor posture, movement and balance – resulting in their inability to move well.  Often with debilitating affect on their lives, families and their healthspan.  This perspective shapes my instruction and guidance for you – to help you to learn healthy movement patterns that become habits for your daily activities and that are empowering to your personal healthspan.

Move For Health group classes incorporate evidence-based research to help you prevent falls, improve your strength, decrease your pain and improve your healthspan – giving your your best health and activity level as you age.

We’ll include information about anatomy and physiology – your muscular and nervous systems as well as your cardiovascular and pulmonary function.  You’ll learn how all of these elements combine to create healthy human movement – and how you can improve your posture, movement and balance to optimize your health.  We’re committed to help you with your personal health journey – coordinating with your physician as well as with fitness and wellness activities in our community.

On behalf of Move For Health, I welcome your feedback and questions. I’m available to talk and correspond with you during and aside from our group classes. Individual sessions are available.  I look forward to working closely with you and your physician to best support your improved health & wellness.

Here’s to a happy and promising 2025, with Move For Health group classes and individual sessions empowering you to move well without pain – and to achieve your best healthspan.

PS – I’ll be providing regular blogs on our MoveForHealth.com website.  You’ll also find our class schedule (Thursdays 9:30-10:30 AM and 7:30-8:30 PM – with additional classes available via scheduled appointment.

As always, I really appreciate your feedback and support of our Move For Health message!  Yours in Health,

Darcy
